FAQ.

The questions we are asked often. If your question is not here, send it to info@longreachtacticalltd.co.uk.

Getting started
  • Do I need a firearms certificate to attend a coaching course?

    +

For most Bodmin and North Devon courses, a rifle can be provided by arrangement if you do not hold an FAC. Courses marked "FAC only" require a valid FAC and an appropriate calibre. The 1:1 private session has both FAC and non-FAC variants.

  • Are beginners welcome?

    +

Yes. Group cohorts include a fundamentals overhaul aimed at beginners; the content progresses through the day so you do not sit through material that is too basic for you.

  • What should I bring?

    +

Weather-appropriate clothing in layers, closed-toe boots, eye and ear protection, a notepad, lunch and water. We provide targets, written materials and tea and coffee. Specific courses have extra kit lists shared on enquiry.

Medical
  • Does LRT run medical courses?

    +

No. Medical training is delivered through our partnership with LRT Medical Solutions, who hold the licences and insurance to run them. Long Reach Tactical does not run medical courses directly.

  • What about First Aid at Work (Forestry)?

    +

That is the one in-house offering on the Medical page, relevant to people hunting on certain land. Everything else routes to LRT Medical Solutions.

Professional
  • How does a professional engagement start?

    +

With a short written enquiry or a call. We scope the outcome, the team and the environment. We then design the course, agree the design with you, deliver it and debrief. You see the design before we run it.

  • Is pricing published for professional work?

    +

No. Engagement pricing depends on scope, duration, team size and venue. Expect a quote within two working days of an enquiry being received.

  • Can professional clients be named?

    +

No. Our professional clients are not named anywhere on the site. Accreditations and instructor heritage carry the credibility work.

Practical
  • Where does training happen?

    +

Coaching courses run at Bodmin and North Devon. Professional engagements run by agreement, often at client sites or private facilities. We can travel to suitable client ranges.

  • Do you offer discounts for emergency services?

    +

Yes, 10% off our courses. Details on the discount page.

  • What is your refund policy?

    +

Published on the booking terms for each course. In short: full refund if you cancel more than 14 days out; reduced refund inside 14 days; course credit if you cancel inside 48 hours. Refunds do not apply to bespoke professional engagements once design has begun.
